Dreams

We all have dreams

About the lives we hope to lead;

It starts when we are very young

And think we know what we need;

 

Sometimes we’re disillusioned

Sometimes our dreams change course;

As days go by and turn to years

Let’s bring our dreams to the Source;

 

Our dreams may seem so out of reach

Or buried deep within our soul;

When the truth is that we can’t out-dream

The One who makes us whole;

 

We could never guess or request it

Even in our wildest dreams;

He has so much in store for us

Then we could ever comprehend, it seems;

 

So go ahead and dream your dreams

As you open the door and let Him in;

Then watch Him work and be prepared

To receive the power from Him;

 

If you live by faith

And others see you trust;

As the Spirit works gently within you

He’s never a forceful gust;

 

He will shower you with blessings

So that others will also see;

The inconceivable peace and joy

That pours out of you and me;

 

Who wouldn’t want

Their dreams to not come true;

When our God the dream maker

Is immeasurably able to do;

 

So much more than we could ever imagine

Why limit ourselves with our finite brains;

Watch him exceed your every dream

Our capable God of the universe reigns!
